MacBook Pro Ship Date a Lie

I recently decided to buy a 17" MacBook Pro. I figured that they shouldn't have the issues the 15" model had when it came out because it benefits from lessons learned and the larger casing makes issues like heat less of a concern.

I ordered it on Apple's web site and the "estimated" ship date reads 5 to 7 days. I understand it's estimated, but the actual ship date ended up being 12 days. That's just a terrible estimation. It's also been a few days since I placed my order and the online store hasn't updated their "estimate" at all. People will still be expecting a 5 to 7 day ship window.

Let me warn you that it's anything but 5 to 7 days, so be warned and good luck. I'll be posting my complete review of the 17" MacBook when it arrives.
