State of the Logik...

The Digg Factor and Our Next Show
Well, one of our opinion posts was picked up by Digg.com and there's plenty to say about the experience. Stay tuned to the next episode of the ZeroLogik podcast as we'll likely spend most of our time talking about that.

Commenting
In the mean time, we have received dozens of emails lately asking us to enable commenting on our site. When we first started, we were just a podcast, so we didn't feel there was much to comment about, but now since we've merged with BishopGrey.com that's no longer the case.

We were also avoiding comments because we didn't want to deal with moderating them due to spam. Regardless, you have spoken and we have heard your spoken-stuff. So in the short-term we've turned on comments for all future-posts.

In the Works
ZeroLogik has grown tremendously in the past few months and we're suffering from growing pains. In the next few weeks we'll be adding or changing the following:

  • Completely redesigning the web site with style and layout improvements.
  • Creating a community area for all of your ZL fans, so you can discuss topics we cover or how much you hate/love us.
  • Upgrading our servers to handle increased bandwidth demands.
  • Releasing a video version of our weekly podcast.

We hope you stick around and enjoy all of the improvements. As always, "Keep on truckin."

Comments

Everybody knows that Digg is as deep as a high school popularity contest. Unfortunately, many people have that mentality, which accounts for its increase in users.
While you're about the redesign, could you also make a widget for my (Windows) desktop?
Video. Hmmm. Gunna have to see that.

As an avid reader of zerologik I'm keen to see how the moderation of reader's comments plays out. I genuinely hope that people sharing their opinions show the same maturity and wit of the sites contributers, as I would enjoy seeing user generated content on what is already a nicely run operation.
